Love this, but what I need is some wine pairings from the shark’s point of view.

Like, what would he drink with each course?

Is there a particularly nice Bordeaux that goes with Quint?

Maybe a Chardonnay for Hooper?

And though he never finishes him off, maybe there was a Malbec on tap for Chief Brody?

COURSED WINE PAIRINGS FOR BRUCE’S LAST SUPPER

A Three Part Tasting Menu

Dr. Matt Hooper: 1996 Joseph Drouhin “Marquis de Laguiche” Montrachet Grand Cru

This serious Chardonnay from one of the most lauded producers in Burgundy spends 12-15 months aging in oak, giving lots of time to stew in its own thoughts before emerging a refined, elegant (and expensive) wine with a lot of youthful vim and vigor. The 1996 vintage is one of the smartest, most perfect years in Burgundy, and at 28 years young, your first course wine is ready to consume right now!

Captain Quint: Domaine Tempier Bandol Rouge

A meaty seafarer requires an equally tempestuous wine. Domaine Tempier is known for its crushable rosé wines, but the Mourvèdre-based red blends are age-worthy gems that still put up a fight, even after years in the cellar. Under the right conditions, this wine will showcase dark, wild berry notes that play alongside rough and rugged garrigue, and well-worn, leathery tannins. Find the oldest vintage you can get your fins on, and prepare to devour this wine!

Chief Brody: 1976 Egon Müller Scharzhofberger Beerenauslese Riesling

This dessert wine is a classic in a rank all its own. The finest Riesling fruit in the Mosel is used to make small amounts of this treasured wine - lush and generous with sweetness, but can still cut you down to size with a firm backbone of acidity. To appreciate the subject at its most complex, do as the winemaker says and let the wine’s value (and deliciousness) appreciate with time.
