For awards enthusiasts and those who are looking to win big at their local Oscars ballot, here’s my list of Oscar nominees prioritized by tiers. My recommendation is to start with the Best Picture nominees and the Acting & Screenplay nominees before hopping around the remaining tiers. There are a lot of “below-the-line” nominees from the Best Picture list (especially true this year), so if the only 10 movies you see are the ones nominated for Best Picture, you’ll have a good feel for the other categories.

Here’s a list of all the Academy Award-nominated films, separated by awards categories. I’ve included information on streaming whenever possible, as well as some links to outside reading material. Adapted screenplays have their source material or inspirations linked, while the original screenplays will sometimes be available to the public before Oscars Night. Check out the full reading list here. And, of course, I’ve linked my wine and movie pairings to give you inspiration for Oscars parties or your own movie night at home.
