Here it is, the moment you’ve been waiting for!
Since Academy voters start selecting the next class of Academy Award winners today, I figured it would be a great time to announce the Brunello Bombshell Ballot Competition.
Here is a link that takes you to a Google Form, where you can submit your picks for who will win in each category on Oscar Sunday. (Do let me know if the link isn’t working for some reason or another.)
At the bottom of the form is a list of all the nominated films from this year, from A Complete Unknown to Yuck!. In order to break ties and announce winners, please check off all the movies you’ve seen this year.

Or, alternatively…
Cast your ballot in person at a special Brunello Bombshell event in Oakland!
That’s right! I’ll be hosting a tasting night at Wine on Piedmont in Oakland that features four of my wine and movie pairings with some of the Best Picture nominees! (Which ones? I will leave that up to your imagination if you want to sort through previous wine and movie pairing posts…)
At the event, I’ll have paper versions of the ballot that you can submit with your Oscar picks and the list of movies you’ve seen. There will be a separate set of prizes for the in-person event, so if you want to enter twice, come taste some wine with us on Friday, February 28 and double your chances to win!
Come by Wine on Piedmont (on Piedmont Avenue in Oakland) between 5 and 7:30 PM and taste a flight of four wines inspired by four of the Best Picture nominees. Learn more about the event and buy your tickets here. $15 admission fee gets you the flight, some bread and cheese, excellent camaraderie, and great conversations about wine and movies and awards season (a few of my favorite things!).
Can you share the link to the ballot competition one more time?
Yup! It’s right here.
