About the time that Oscar nominations were announced, I was approached by
to contribute some movie reviews to his blog, ! Knowing that these would drop in March, I wanted to highlight a movie that was directed by a woman in the hopes that it would encourage more people to seek out female-directed movies. Jake’s approach appeals to the casting director in me - giving a leading lady a chance to actually lead a movie as an authority in her field.I’m so happy that I had a chance to see two terrific movies, and I’m very grateful to Jake for encouraging me to share my thoughts with his audience as well.
