Awards Season 2025 Calendar
Set your DVRs and prepare your ballots - awards season is upon us!
Moira Rose and I agree on this very important thing - my favorite season is awards!
With a lot of potential honorees now in theaters or coming to theaters in the next few weeks, I figured it was a good time to share the calendar that I’ve been using to measure the state of the race for Best Picture. A lot of you are interested in seeing some more awards season related content, and this will definitely be a resource to bookmark as more films are released and more film organizations announce their nominees.
In addition to the big, televised awards ceremonies you know and love, you’ll see a lot of guilds represented on this list. As an actor and casting director myself, I feel it’s important to take stock in what the guild members highlight as the crowning achievements in their respective fields year after year. The timing of the guild awards also help to keep interest piqued after Academy Award nominees are announced in mid-January, which can make all the difference in who eventually takes Oscar home.
So this is it, the only awards season calendar you’ll need. Go forth and watch movies! And if anyone’s interested in doing a ballot competition for the major 2025 awards ceremonies, let me know.
